Kapiva, a homegrown D2C brand empowering Indian consumers with modern, accessible, and everyday Ayurveda, has appointed Shantanu as Chief Operating Officer. Kapiva brings Ayurveda-based food products to Indian millennial consumers in a variety of innovative formats. In his new role, Shantanu will be leading Brand, Product, and Strategy.
An ex-Marine Engineer in the Merchant Navy and MBA grad from IIM Calcutta, Shantanu spent over a decade at P&> essaying various roles. He worked across most of Asia, in all channels from mom and pop stores to eCommerce and across every aspect of marketing. In his last 3 years with P&> in China, a highly evolved eCommerce market, he led marketing for haircare working on some of the cutting edge marketing tools and emerging marketing platforms. He brings home a vast experience in launching new brands as well as turning around and accelerating growth in billion-dollar businesses. Prior to Kapiva, Shantanu led marketing and E-commerce (D2C) at UNIQLO India and played a key role in launching and scaling up the brand in India.
