Mysore Bonda Recipe

I love love love this bajji or bonda whatever you call. I have made this so many times other anything else. Have posted a mysore bonda recipe in this blog before, but this one is a little different from that. But both taste equally good.

I served this hot fluffy bajji with a thick coconut chutney which we call as getti chutney. This chutney can be paired with all my bajji and bonda recipes..Hope you like it and let me know if you try it..

Version 1: Mysore Bonda Recipe

Take all your ingredients

Take flour in a bowl

add in some gram flour

add in some salt and sugar

some coriander leaves and curry leaves

add in green chillies and grated ginger

add in cumin seeds

and some water

Add in some chopped onions

some baking soda

mix well to a smooth batter

drop it in hot oil

Version 2: Mysore Bonda Recipe

Ingredients for Goli Baje

  • All Purpose Flour / Maida-1 cup
  • Curd- 1 cup
  • Green chilli-2 chopped finely
  • Ginger-1 tblspn minced
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera-1 tsp
  • Pepper-1 tsp
  • Curry leaves-1 spring
  • Baking powder-1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make Goli Baje

  1. Heat oil for deep frying.
  2. In a mixing bowl add flour, ginger, curry leaves, green chilli, cumin, pepper, salt and mix together.
  3. Add curd to this and mix well till it forms a thick batter.
  4. Add baking powder and mix well.
  5. Drop a tbsp of batter in oil and fry on all sides till golden.
  6. Drain it in a paper towel.
  7. Serve hot with chutney or sambar..
