IDIA Delhi Chapter is organizing the second edition of Article writing competition on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), for which it is inviting submissions by May 22, 2022.
About IDIA
Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education (IDIA) is a non-profit organisation working in India that aims to empower underprivileged and marginalised children by giving them access to quality legal education.
IDIA sensitises students from across the country to Law as a career option, selects underprivileged and marginalised students with an aptitude for law, trains them, and provides scholarships to the students on gaining admission to law schools.
IDIA not only enables access to legal education but also fosters diversity at the leading law schools, thereby enriching the very process of legal education.
About the Article Writing Competition
Second Edition of Article Writing Competition, is being organized by IDIA Delhi Chapter on the theme Intellectual Property Rights, in collaboration with Saraf and Partners and Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition, NLU Delhi.
About the Judge
Ms. Gayatri Roy, Partner at Saraf and Partners has graciously agreed to act as a judge for the competition. Her predominant practice areas include Intellectual Property Law as well as Telecommunications, Media and Technology law.
Theme
The larger theme of the Article Writing Competition is Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
Sub-Themes
Following is a non-exhaustive list sub-themes that participants can consider for their submissions:
- IP and Artificial Intelligence in India
- IP and Big Data Protection in India
- IP and Competition Law in India
- IP and COVID 19- Innovation and Access Dimension in India
- IP in India’s FTAs/IIAs
Registration Details
- Register with the link given at the end of the post.
- Minimum Contribution Amount: INR 500
Important Dates
- Interested Participants can register for the competition by May 22, 2022.
- The submission deadline of the article would be May 29, 2022.
- Submission deadline can be extended on a case to case basis for accommodating academic conflicts owing to the schedule of participants’ university.
Result Declaration
The final results of the Article Writing Competition on IPR shall be declared in June 2022.
Awards
- The Winner of the Competition shall be awarded with an Internship opportunity with Saraf and Partners.
- The Second and Third Position Holders shall get an opportunity to intern at Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition.
- The top five participants shall also be awarded a Certificate of Merit by IDIA Delhi Chapter.
