Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition, 2023 by NLU Jodhpur [Feb 17-19, 2023]: Register by Jan 4

The Fourteenth NLU Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition, 2023 will be hosted and organised by NLUJ, in association with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and knowledge and research partners, SCC Online and Eastern Book Company, under the patronage of the Competition Commission of India.

About the University

About the Competition

The NLU Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition (“Moot”), an initiative conceived to generate interest in competition law amongst law students across the nation, is the flagship moot court competition of National Law University Jodhpur.

Participation in the Moot entails engaging in research on contemporary issues pertaining to competition law and pleading a hypothetical dispute before the appropriate forum.

The NLU Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition is the first moot court competition in India in the area of competition law. The University has successfully organized twelve previous editions of the Moot.

Eligibility

  • Students enrolled in an undergraduate law course or its equivalent, conducted by any recognized college/university/institution are eligible to participate in the Competition.
  • Any college/university/institution, whose students fulfil the eligibility criteria or for exceptional circumstances have been deemed by the Organisers to be eligible for this Competition, shall be entitled to send only ONE team to the Competition, subject to the completion of registration formalities as detailed in the ‘Invite’ to the Competition.

Language

The language of the Competition shall be English.

Team Composition

Each team may comprise a minimum of two (2) and not more than three (3) members. The team composition may be of two (2) speakers only or of two (2) speakers and one (1) researcher.

How to Register?

Each institution must, first, provisionally register itself through its designated moot court society for the Competition by filling out the link shared below.

Important Dates

  • Commencement of Provisional Registration and release of the proposition: December 3, 2022
  • Last Date of Seeking Clarifications: December 10, 2022
  • Release of Clarifications: December 16, 2022
  • Last date of Registration: January 4, 2023
  • Submission of Memorial: Electronic Copy: January 28, 2023
  • Fourteenth NLU Antitrust Law Moot Court Competition: February 17-19, 2023
