Binoy was granted anticipatory bail by the Sessions Court at Dindoshi, Mumbai in July 2019. After this, he moved the High Court seeking quashing of the FIR in March this year.
A month later, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the Court was informed that parties were trying to reach a settlement and, hence, the FIR ought to be quashed.
The Court then granted time to the complainant to consider the terms of settlement and the implications.
In the interim, it directed the lower court not to proceed with framing of charges against Binoy till the present petition is disposed of.
