[BREAKING] Supreme Court agrees to hear plea against Haridwar Dharam Sansad hate speech

The plea filed by former Patna High Court judge, Justice Anjana Prakash was mentioned before Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana by Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal who said that the Supreme Court needs to take cognisance of the matter.

“Slogan of the country has changed from Satyameva Jayate,” he said.

“Wasn’t an enquiry (already) ordered. We’ll look into it. Is already some inquiry going on,” the CJI asked.

“It has happened in Uttarakhand. FIRs have been registered, but no arrests yet,” Sibal replied.

“We will take it up,” the CJI replied.
