Single-judge Justice Yashwant Varma impleaded the Central government in an already pending plea and issued notice to it, observing that the court’s decision will have an impact on the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act 2021, a central legislation, and therefore the government’s view is important on the matter.
The petition will be heard next in January 2023.
