CfP: Conference on the Legal Aspects of Hemp Cultivation in Asian Countries by UPES School of Law [March 1; Virtual]: Submit by Feb 10

UPES School of Law is organizing a conference on the Legal Aspects of Hemp Cultivation in Asian Countries to be held on March 1.

About UPES School of Law

The UPES School of Law combines a carefully crafted curriculum with interactive learning methods to prepare students who can contribute towards shaping the legal landscape.

About the Conference

Law is dynamic and constantly evolving with time. New developments in various industrial sectors demand new transformations in the field of law too. These transformations also present a scholar of law with an ample number of perspectives and opportunities in various budding areas of law.

Keeping this in mind, the Emerging Areas of Law Cluster of the UPES School of Law aims to conduct its First Panel Discussion on Hemp Cultivation.

The benefits of hemp are unknown to many. In 2016, Uttarakhand became the first Indian state to permit large-scale commercial cultivation of industrial hemp. The license was awarded to the Indian Industrial Hemp Association (IIHA) to plant cannabis on 1000 hectares of land.
