Good things about the University based on your personal experience
The course syllabus is updated here to the latest subjects of law that are required today.
The course structure is exhaustive and almost the same in every law school. Being a 5 year course, the subjects to be studied in each semester is more than the normal courses.
The number of subjects I studied in my 1st year were 8 per semester and then in the 2nd year it got reduced to 6.
Apart from legal subjects like Torts and Contracts, they also teach us History, Political Science, Accounts, Finance and Statistics, Economics etc.
Not just these, but this law school also tries to focus on the overall development of the student by introducing subjects like Ethics, Legal reasoning, Sociology, Environment studies, Behavioral studies etc.
Students do get industrial exposure here. The campus is not very big but the infrastructure is well built. The college organizes enough events for the students.
And the annual big fest called the Symfiesta is the highlight of the year and the same is conducted around February.
The library is also well-equipped with books and is big enough. The moot court team of SLSN is one of the best in the country and the moot court hall is also well-made.
Sports facilities are not available in the campus however the sports committee ties up with nearby stadiums for practice sessions. There is a gym on the campus for students.
There are enough societies like dance, drama, literature, sports, MUN, debate, moot court society in the college. The college forces us to do internships after every semester and also offers internships.
Bad things about the University based on your personal experience
The campus is honestly quite small so if you were hoping for a huge campus with fields and roads and a market, hostel area, canteens and other food shops or even a huge auditorium area then this law school will disappoint you.
It does not even have one field or sports area for the students to play or hangout. However the campus is green, clean and secure. The buildings are new and fully air conditioned.
The campus has Wi-Fi for the students to use only for research and study purposes and social media websites and Netflix, etc. are blocked. Also the connectivity is not very strong since the hostels do not get proper signals.
There is a library where you can find all useful books for research, projects, studies, novels and even exam papers. The library is small, so it cannot accommodate many students however the library is a place where you can work on assignments with peace.
There are no sports facilities in this law school no matter what they say. There is a badminton court in the girls hostel which is used by everyone and that too the floor is marble.
There is a basketball court which is almost broken and under construction from the very first day I stepped foot at this college.
And students interested in sports have to make their own arrangements to practice their game.
How’s the faculty?
The faculty members are very interactive and supportive. Talking about their qualifications, it is public on the website of the college.
And the student teacher bonding is superb.

How’s the infrastructure? Mention some of the things that exist.
It is located in very posh area. The classrooms are very good and have proper infrastructure for the students.
The auditorium is like a PVR cinema hall and has good occupancy. The moot court hall is very luxurious.
And the legal events, seminars are conducted in the moot court and seminar hall.
In SLS Noida their is a Nescafe canteen and there are little gardens close to it.

There is only a girls hostel in the campus. Their is no boys hostel inside the campus.
Outside the campus their are many hostels and PGs.

How are your peers?
My batchmates are very very good. I have many friends from different states like Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Bihar, Punjab and Haryana.
My seniors are also very helpful in nature and they are very polite. They also provides guidance in CV making, internships, drafting memorials, amongst others.

How are the placements in your college?
Very few students make it to top tier firms through college, the rest have to struggle hard and apply for jobs online till they find one.
The college does provide recommendations to its students and also staying in this college can get you an awesome CV as the internship opportunities are high in this law school and also they keep engaging the students in different competitions.
There is a training and placement cell that looks after the internship and jobs for students.
The alumni network is not very strong or spread across the world however, it is quite helpful.
Many of my seniors have given me useful insights for my career and jobs. In semester 10, students become eligible for placements.
The companies that visit our campus for recruitment change every year. Firms like AZB, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Luthra and Luthra are few to name.
The highest package offered was 15L per annum with the lowest being 6L per annum. Almost 50% students get employed via campus.

How are the co-curriculars in your college?
The campus is not very huge but since the students are less it is okay. Every year symbiosis organizes its annual fest known as the Symfiesta where many famous celebrities like Hardy Sandhu, Kaneez Surka, Rahul Dua, DJ Shadow give their live performances and this goes on for 3 days.
The fest includes dance DJ dinging, food, games and a lot of fun. This is only for the night, during the day, many inter college activities are scheduled for the students to come and participate from different parts of India.
These activities include debating, dancing, singing, fashion shows, bands performing, moot trials, drama etc. This is just the annual fest.
The college also organizes cultural evenings on a monthly basis where the students are given a theme according to which they dress and and make their own props along with the costume.
We have to study and do our college chores in that dress only and also get to participate in activities planned by the college for the day.
An annual sports fest is also conducted where sportspersons get to play in the Noida stadium due to lack of space in the college campus.

What are some of the things you’d advise to a 1st year aspirant who enters your college?
In symbiosis you will have many opportunities, try to grave them.
In the first year don’t take a bunch of work on your head. Your motto should be ‘learn more and more, again and again’.
The world of SLS is open for you therefore don’t get stuck onto one place.
