In UP Judicial Services, aspirants need to focus more on Revenue laws. This is the first strategy to clear this paper. There are two reasons for it. First, the syllabus of Revenue laws is vast as compared to penal laws. Second, Penal laws are of 50 marks.
However, it doesn’t mean that you neglect the Indian Penal Code. We just want you to focus more on one subject than the other. Otherwise, you won’t be able to finish the syllabus on time.
There are six laws under the revenue and local laws of 150 marks. These are:
- The Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition and Land reforms Act, 1951,
- Uttar Pradesh, Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent, and Eviction) Act, 1972,
- Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act,
- U.P. Panchayat Raj Act,
- U.P. Consolidation of Holding Act, 1953,
- Uttar Pradesh Urban (Planning and Development) Act 1973, together with rules framed under the aforesaid Acts.
Aspirants can study each law for a whole week, make proper notes and revise continuously. Studying limited and revising unlimited is the Guru Mantra for successfully clearing the UP Judicial Services.
Books and Question Papers for UP Judicial Services
Speaking of books, it is no secret that no one can study every book ever written on revenue laws. Aspirants will need to devote 1-2 days to see which book offers them the best explanation of the section and also covers the syllabus. Keeping your sources limited will help during revision.
