By way of background, the complainant had booked an AC bus ticket on August 23, 2022, which was confirmed after payment was made to the bus services provider.
Nevertheless, the ticket was subsequently canceled on the ground of unavailability of bus. The service provided assured that the money would spent on the ticket would be refunded. Thereafter, complainant had to book another bus.
The present complaint was filed after Legal Humans, a legal aid initiative active on social media platforms, took note of a tweet containing the complaint.
The consumer forum, after examining the facts, ruled in favour of the complainant.
Advocate Ismail Zabeullah extended legal assistance to the complainant in the matter.
