“I have argued PM Cares Fund case before 4 benches:” Shyam Divan flags protracted hearing due to roster changes in Delhi High Court

Divan flagged the protracted hearing in the matter after the case was adjourned to September 15, when it will be heard by a Bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad.

“I have argued it [PM Cares fund case] before four benches and it never finishes,” he said during the hearing.

On January 31, 2023, Divan had concluded his arguments before the Bench of Chief Justice Sharma and Justice Prasad. However, the High Court roster changed after the summer vacation and the Chief Justice is now sitting with Justice Sanjeev Narula.

As the matter was taken up today, it was pointed out that the case is part-heard before the previous Bench.

The Court, therefore, adjourned the matter to September 15.
