Intellectual Property Awareness Program by IPAAC NLUO and IPO Office Kolkata [April 21; 4:30 PM]: Register Now!

The Intellectual Property Analysis and Advocacy Centre (IPAAC), National Law University Odisha is organizing an Intellectual Property Awareness Program to be organized by the center on the 21st of April 2022, at 4:30 P.M. IST  with Mr. Dhiren Pattnayak and Mr. Pritish Ranjan Pradhan, as our esteemed resource persons for the event.

About the IP Awareness Program

Intellectual property rights are massively prevalent in our daily lives, and as such, examining its nuances presents an important ambit in the legal and social discourse.

Under these prudent considerations that Intellectual Property has within our frameworks, we find it immensely pivotal for its sustained understanding and nuances as a fundamental metric.

The program is intended to create greater Intellectual Property Awareness amongst the participants and, as such, an important ambition into the participants’ abilities to understand and apply in these areas.

About NIPAM

A National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM) under the Government’s “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” initiative was launched on 8/12/2021 under DPIIT.

The pan-India ambitious mission aims to provide awareness of the intellectual property and its rights to 1 million students.

It aims to inculcate the spirit of creativity and innovation in higher education students (classes 8 to 12) and ignite and inspire the students of college/Universities to innovate and protect their creations.

About Mr. Dhiren Pattnayak 

After Bachelor’s from CET, Bhubaneswar, Mr. Dhiren Pattnayak has completed his Masters in Bioinformatics from University of Delhi in 2015.

Subsequently, he joined IIT Bombay TCTD LAB as a project scientist and after that has worked as a project fellow at Giessen University and Max Planck Institute Germany.

In 2016, he joined Govt.  of India and has six years of experience as an Examiner of Patents & Design in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt of India.

About Mr. Pritish Ranjan Pradhan 

Mr. Pritish Ranjan Pradhan has completed B.Tech in computer science and engineering from CET Bhubaneswar and M.Tech in computer science from Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata.

After a brief stint at ISRO, he joined Patent Office Kolkata in 2016 and worked as an examiner of Patents and Designs. In 2019 he was selected to attend Operational Patent Examiners Training held at Tokyo, Japan which was conducted by the Japan Patent Office. He has also six years of experience as an Examiner of Patents and Design in Govt. of India.

Kindly note that after registration, a confirmation email containing the information about joining the meeting will be sent to the email-ids; the same are requested to be followed to join the session on April 21st.

Certificate

All participants shall be provided with a certificate after the successful conclusion of the event, and the confirmation of their participation in the same.

Participants are requested to fill out the registration form with the utmost care. The certificates shall reflect the data entered in the sheet, and no changes can be entertained later due to the large volume of certificates to be made.
