How did you Apply?
I applied to the internship to a referral of my Dad, however, one could drop an email for an internship at the email address: ansarisolicitorfirm[at]gmail.com
First Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
On the very first day, we were asked to give an introduction about ourselves by associates, told a bit about the office culture and were asked about our areas of interest so that the work could be assigned to us accordingly.
After 15-20 minutes of the introduction, one of their associates handed me my first research work. Thereafter post lunch, I got the opportunity to meet sir, he was very cordial in the meeting and asked me about my college, and we discussed the current hot topics.
The main task as an intern is to read bulky case files and determine the Question of Law and then work extensively on finding legal precedents/ case Laws of the Supreme Court or High Court. The work included quality research on some very interesting current matters related to Criminal Law, Negotiable Instruments Act, GST, Income Tax, and many more.
The tasks/assignments/work that I performed during my internship period are the following matters pertaining to:
- Land dispute pertaining to the right of way
- PIL on Mob Lynching
- Post-Detention PASA
- Company applications
- SCA Highway
- Bail Application – under Sections 302, 201 of the Indian penal code and 135(1) of the Gujarat Police Act
- Bail Application – under Sections 465, 467, 468, 471, 120(B) of IPC
- Cancellation of Non-bailable warrant
- Income Tax reply on behalf of Complainant
- SCRA Family Dispute
- 498 Appeal
- Special Leave Petition for cancellation of bail
- Labour matter
- Early hearings
We use to get instruction from sir and sometimes the client’s number was also provided, thus got
a chance to coordinate with clients also.
The work environment is really good, friendly and helpful. They help us whenever and however possible, especially their associates. All the official work is done in English language and Gujarati Language in lower courts.
Almost everything about this internship was good. It was full of exposure and experience. Throughout the time period of seven months, I learned extensively. They’ll provide you with leaves if you need any and they also have a WhatsApp group for your queries and task updates.
I could not find any loopholes as such. In my experience, overall everything was great.
Accommodation & Conveyance to Office
I am from Ahmedabad so I didn’t face any difficulties. Although one can get a PG in Paldi or Pritamnagar area which is just 5 minutes away from the office.
Also, one very important and commendable thing I would like to mention is that the founder Advocate Aftab Ansari Sir (AOR Supreme court of India) himself takes the feedback and also gives it to the interns. The co-interns are also very helpful and cooperative. The environment of the internship is really safe.
