How did you Apply?
Through referral; I sent in a cover letter and CV and then appeared for an interview. One week later, I received the confirmation of my selection.
First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
The office is a decent one. Not very posh but not very uncomfortable either. Some of the seniors are very approachable and others are discreet with interns most of the time.
Main Tasks
Research work on:
- Legal compliance for imports
- Responsibilities and Duties of Executive Director
- RBI Guideline on UPI-Credit Card Linking
- Corporate Restructuring
- Appointment of Independent Director w/o invoking Section 149 of Companies Act 2013
- Drafting of service agreements, NDA, and consent letters for reserved matters in SHA, and replies to RBI complaints.
- Naming a company and checking on MCA and Intellectual Property India.
- Carrying out MCA Inspection.
- Filled Register of Charges.
- Most interns get to do Clerical Work such as editing, formatting and marking up agreements and NDA, updating the legal notices records, etc. Our seniors at the internship paid attention to this and asked us to do the same.
- Gave a presentation on RBI Master Direction on Credit Cards and Debit Cards.
Work Environment
The associates are professional and approachable; they guide you and regularly check on you to see the work allotted and give suggestions on how to improvise.
Good things
There is a significant focus on niche areas of banking and finance and client interaction. Regular presentations helped boost my public speaking and confidence. This internship was oriented towards employability skills.
Bad things
Sometimes the canteen food is not good so we have to go out and eat. Some of the rooms where interns are seated might have an AC malfunction.
Accommodation & Conveyance to Office
I booked a girls’ PG in Malviya Nagar. Commuting and finding safe and reliable accommodation was a bit of a problem but luckily my PG roommate was my co-intern so it worked out.
Stipend
No stipend is offered to the interns.
