Jammu & Kashmir High Court summons three Senior Advocates on complaint by Law Secretary alleging anti-national activities

Summons was issued by the Secretary of the High Court’s Disciplinary Committee to the following three senior lawyers.

– Former President of the Srinagar High Court Bar Association Mian Abdul Qayoom;

– Senior Advocate Ghulam Nabi Thoker;

– Senior Advocate Nazir Ahmad Ronga.

In his complaint, the Law Secretary accused the three lawyers of supporting Hurriyat ideology, transforming the working of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association into a secessionist group and supporting anti-government activities.

They have been accused of committing professional and other misconduct under the Advocates Act, 1961.
