Department of Commerce is inviting applications for the positions of Young Professionals, Associates, Consultants, and Senior Consultants on a contractual basis.
About the Organisation
The long-term vision of the Department is to make India a major player in world trade and assume a role of leadership in international trade organizations commensurate with India’s growing importance. The medium-term vision is to achieve 2 Trillion USD in exports of goods and services by 2027-28 with a long-term objective of doubling India’s share of global trade.
The policy tools being adopted involve a strategy focusing on the targeted commodity and country in the medium term and the Foreign Trade Policy in the long run.
The Department formulates, implements, and monitors the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) which provides the basic framework and strategy to be followed. The Trade Policy is periodically reviewed to incorporate changes necessary to take care of emerging economic scenarios both domestic and international.
Besides, the Department is also entrusted with responsibilities relating to multilateral and bilateral commercial relations, Special Economic Zones, state trading, export promotion and trade facilitation, and development and regulation of certain export-oriented industries and commodities

Eligibility Criteria
- Young Professional: Minimum 1-year PQE
- Consultant: Minimum 8 years PQE
- Sr Consultant: 15 years and above PQE
Salary
- Young Professional: 60,000
- Consultant: 1,45,000 – 2,65,000
- Sr Consultant: 2,65,000 – 3,30,000
