About the Job Opportunity

The organization is seeking an editorial and a communications assistant with a background in English literature or Mass Communication*.

The assistant will provide overall support to Carnegie India’s communications team. This is a full-time position based in Delhi.


The Editorial and Communications Assistant will be responsible for

  • supporting the editorial and publication processes for Carnegie India’s website;
  • copyediting and proofreading the website and social media collaterals, op-eds, newsletters, and articles;
  • assisting in organizing virtual and in-person CI events using CMS, Splash, and other software;
  • designing invitations, writing background notes and speaker bios; and
  • providing overall assistance to the Communications team in organizing Carnegie India’s flagship event, the Global Technology Summit.

Skills Required

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Excellent verbal and written command of English
  • Relevant editorial experience,
  • High- proficiency at copy-editing and proofreading, and be
  • Familiarity with academic writing and citation styles.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills,
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, and
  • Ability to work proactively and flexibly within a team.
