Karnataka High Court closes contempt of court case against doctor after she apologises, offers to do community service

The accused-doctor was living separately from her husband due to a family dispute.

In July 2023, the High Court directed her to temporarily hand over the custody of her 8-year-old daughter to the child’s father.

In the wake of non-compliance with this order, the High Court Registrar General filed a criminal contempt petition against the doctor.
