The order was issued on a plea moved by several persons who were accused in the 2015 case in which they alleged that the then Magistrate had manipulated the statement given by the Investigating Officer (IO).
The Court suo motu impleaded the former Magistrate, who is currently the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, as an additional respondent and issued show cause notice to him.
The IO in question was directed to appear before the Court on its next posting date.
Further, the Court ordered that no coercive steps be taken against the petitioners for a period of one month.
The matter will be taken up next on December 12.
