Good things about the University based on your personal experience
Following are good things about my college:
1. Great Infrastructure: It has an area of 40 acres filled with greenery. It provides a splendid library, which is one of the best libraries amongst all the National Law Universities.
2. It has 30+ full-time faculty members: They all are good . And their way of teaching is awesome.
3. The location: It is one of the best University in this regard. All kinds of services are available at a walking distance.
4. The fees taken is equivalent to the services provided: The total fees including tution, utility charges & mess fee is only 1,19,000/- only.
Lastly, I have personally observed that, in other NLUs the fees are much higher in comparison to the services offered.
Bad things about the University based on your personal experience
1. More Judiciary culture in comparison to Corporate: Here maximum students prepare for judiciary.
Though in 2021, 33 students got placed with different law firms & NGOs.
The highest package was 18 lakh per annum. And the average salary was 10 lakh per annum.
2. College does not provide any financial assistance to students from economically weaker backgrounds. However, there is the provision of scholarships.
How’s the faculty?
The faculties are awesome. It is because of these faculties, that there is a judiciary culture at our college.
But as it is in every college you will have to prepare at your own. No separate classes will be run by college administration.

How’s the infrastructure? Mention some of the things that exist.
1. Madumilay Library: It is one of best library among the 22 National Law Universities.
2. It has a world: class gym equipped with new and modern instruments.
3. Swimming pool: There is a swimming pool, though at present it is not functional, owing to security concerns.

How’s your hostel experience?
The hostels are fine. Since you will not have to pay hostel charges and only mess charges are taken.
And the hostels are allotted along with it. Up to the second year the rooms allotted have a double occupancy. Beyond the second year, single rooms are allotted to each student.
The washrooms are common.

How are your peers?
My batchmates are really good and cooperative in nature. However, there is a trend to address the seniors with the prefix ‘sir’.
On one hand it is a good culture to respect our seniors and on the other hand, when it works as a compulsion, it becomes unwanted.

How are the placements in your college?
Placements are good, however, not excellent as in the top law universities. In 2021, 33 students got placed with different top law firms & NGOs.
The highest package was 18 lakh per annum. And average package was about 10 lakh per annum.

How are the co-curriculars in your college?
The co-curricular activities are simply awesome. There are different fests which are held in this University every year. Moot court competitions are held every year.
In my first year, for new students Navitas & Concurs were held. The main motive was to make the new students aware about what a moot court was.
There many committees in place such as Internship & Placement committee, Cultural committee, Anti-Ragging committee, etc.

What are some of the things you’d advise to a 1st year aspirant who enters your college?
I would like to advise a 1st year aspirant who enters in my College to participate in each & every event.
Since in RMLNLU, both judiciary & corporate culture exists. Therefore, do everything in the first year and then streamline your interests 2nd year onwards.
