A notification to that effect was published on Monday by by the Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department of the Government of Sikkim.
Patil is an alumnus of University Law College, Bengaluru and was enrolled with the State Bar Council of Karnataka as an advocate in 1991. He was designated as Senior Advocate by the Karnataka High Court in 2008 at the age of 39 years.
He currently practices before the Supreme Court.
