About the MUN
The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Excellence in Law, Chennai is organising Model United Nations Conference 2024 from 1st of March 2024 to the 3rd of March 2024
“Salvare Planetae” – Save Planet is the theme for the 5th edition. SOEL MUN SOCIETY is determined to voice out for environmental causes through legal means, that is, to begin with, views, thoughts, and deliberation of young minds. Model United Nations forum is a platform where young minds backed by foreign policies of sovereign countries will resolve disputes, conflicts, and face-offs between nations endangering the safety of the planet.
What is MUN?
Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations, where students take on the roles of diplomats and representatives of different countries. Through engaging in debates, discussions, and negotiations, participants address pressing global issues, draft resolutions and work towards finding solutions that benefit the international community.
Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University is persistent in encouraging students to voice out their opinions on societal issues, on this pathway, we stepped into a forum of the World to express opinions on International issues.
Eligibility
- School Students, Students pursing UG course (any) and PG course (any) are eligible to participate in the conference.
- Suitable to all beginners, experienced delegates
- Multiple participation from a school/colleges/universities is allowed.

- Accommodation: Accommodation will be provided upon paying the fee
How to Register?
- Students are requested to visit the tree link and open the registration application, view the committees, agendas, country matrix (to know the available slots)
- While filing the application, students should provide 2 committee preference, 3 country preference that they want to represent.
- Opt whether you require accommodation or not.
- After applying, Delegate affairs will send you the allotment mail containing the allotted committee and country.
- Within the stipulated timeline, make the payment to reserve the slots
- Students can also participate as International Reporters and Photographers (To register refer the link tree)
Fee
- Registration Fee – 1600/-
- Accommodation Fee – 1800/- (if accommodation is opted)
Important dates
- Round 1 Application opens on the 25th of January 2024
- Round 1 Application closes on 9th of February 2024.
- Round 2 Application opens on 12th of February 2024
Prizes
For each committee major three awards with cash prizes, SOEL MUN 2024 have 9 committees to be simulated
- Best Delegate (1st Prize) – 6,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- High Commendation (2nd Prize) – 4000 + Certificate of Merit
- Special Mention – Certificate of Merit
- Honourable Mention – Certificate of Merit
