Internship at Chambers of Apratim Animesh Thakur, Delhi: Apply by Mar 4

Eligibility:

  • Law students currently in their 5th year of college or have recently enrolled themselves
  • Should preferably be based out of Delhi/NCR.
  • Must be willing to work for a minimum period of 6 (six) months are eligible to apply.
  • Should be enthused to undertake the tasks allotted to him/her, to undertake legal research and should possess basic common sense and sharp skill of communication.
  • Should possess a good appetite for work and should not be hesitant in undertaking laborious work.

Internship at International Tribunal for the Law of Sea (ITLOS), Hamburg: Apply by Mar 31

Eligibility: Students or recent graduates from all over the world, all sharing an interest in international law and in particular the law of the sea

Candidates from the following fields of study may apply for an internship:

  • Law of the sea/public international law
  • International relations/Political science
  • Library science/Archival administration
  • Translation
  • Communications/Journalism/Media studies

Applicants should:

  • have completed at least 3 years of university studies;
  • normally be engaged in a degree-granting or postgraduate course at the time of application and also during their internship, or be a recent graduate;
  • normally not be more than 35 years of age;
  • have a good command of English and/or French; and
  • have an interest in international law, in particular international law of the sea, international affairs or international institutions and organizations.

Internship in Economic Affairs at UN ESCAP-SSWA (South and South-West Asia) Office, New Delhi: Apply by Mar 31

Eligibility:

Education

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or
  • Have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.

Languages

  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset.
  • Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
