How did you apply for the internship?

I applied for the internship through my college’s recruitment committee. Generally, students can apply to the internship by emailing on recruitment[a]veritaslegal.in.

First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

Since it was an online internship, on the first day, I was given an orientation by the HR Ms. Harsha. I was explained the buddy system where I had three mentors (a partner, a senior associate and an associate).

I was told that there will be weekly meetings with the buddies. I was informed that the office timings were 10AM to 7:30PM from Mon-Fri.

Main Tasks

Main tasks involved reviewing and summarisation of agreements; and research queries relating to various commercial laws and e-commerce laws. I was explained the tasks in detail and was given sufficient time to provide my output.

Additionally, the firm requires the interns to make a presentation on an allotted topic which takes place towards the end of the internship.

Work Environment

The work environment was really good and the people at the firm are friendly. Everyone goes by their first name at the firm which makes sure there are no strict hierarchies within the firm.

I received a lot of support from the associates who clarified my doubts when allotting work to me. This kept me motivated throughout the internship to provide them with the best output.

Good Things

The quality of work I did was really good and I learnt several important things while interning. I enjoyed the work environment which was relaxed and motivating throughout.

The best part is the intern’s involvement at the firm which was unmatched compared to any of my other firm internships.

Bad Things

None.

Stipend

INR 3000

Details about accommodation and commute

Since it was an online internship, the whole internship was work from home. The firm’s office is located in Fort, Mumbai and commute is possible through local train and buses.

Anything else?

I really liked that the intern was kept engaged even in an online internship. The continued interaction through meetings with the HR and the buddies helped me a lot.
