New book provides insight on how nations need digital fair play to improve global governance

Technology today plays an increasingly vital role in determining the destiny of nations and shaping world geopolitics, as countries fight each other to emerge the leader in economic, social and political systems.

Anirudh Suri’s new book, The Great Tech Game, zeroes in on key drivers that will enable a nation to progress in this technology dominant era.

Suri elaborates on what is needed for a country to develop its own strategic plan to succeed; he tells leaders how to take advantage of new trends and to create enabling environments in which their nations can thrive.

He also evaluates whether new frameworks can be established to fairly govern the relationship between technology rich and technology poor countries. Will there be better coordination between nations, or will some hide behind a digital Berlin Wall amid increasing nationalisation?

The book provides many such fascinating insights from strategic thinkers around the world as it delves deep into the future of technology.

Author Anirudh Suri says: “Today, the signs of the influence of technology are all around us, yet most of us do not grasp the scale and gravity of its impact…With inputs from many strategic thinkers from around the world, I have attempted to piece together the larger story of how technology is shaping our destinies.”

Peer reviews of the book are heart-warming.

New York Times bestselling author Adam Grant says the book is a “thoughtful analysis of the technology battles that got us to today – and where they might take us tomorrow”.

K. VijayRaghavan, Principal Scientific Adviser to the government of India, calls
the book “an inspiring read that describes growth as a complex phenomenon”.

historical, global and social perspectives, geopolitics, international dynamics…” writes Infosys Co-founder S.D. Shibulal.

C. Raja Mohan, director, Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore writes, “Anirudh Suri makes sense of the multiple emerging fault lines between the citizen, corporation, society, state, and the global system”.

Anirudh Suri is a technology venture capitalist and entrepreneur, and has formerly been
a policy adviser and a management consultant.

He is currently the managing partner at India Internet Fund, a technology focused
venture capital fund based in India and the US. Previously, he has worked with
the Indian government, McKinsey and Company in New York, the Carnegie Endowment
