How did you Apply?
For an internship, you should call up Advocate G.D. Bansal Sir directly as he believes in dealing with the interns himself. You would also be required to mail your resume to Advocate G.D. Bansal at his email id advocategdbansal@gmail.com.
First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
When I reached the office at 10 AM on the first day I met Advocate Prathmesh Meena who gave me a very warm welcome and made me feel comfortable and home-like.
After this, I met Advocate Dharmendra Gupta who gave me all the details about the office and previous interns. He also briefed me about the firm.
Later, Prathmesh Sir briefed me about the entire Trade Marks Act 1999 and explained some of the important sections and rules and then I was asked to read those sections and rules of the Trademarks Act 1999 and to jot down the important points in order to understand the whole procedure.
I also asked many questions relating to trademarks, all of which he answered very patiently.
Main Tasks
I briefed case laws related to IPR, specifically the Trade Marks law. I learned about the drafting of applications, affidavit of evidence in support of the opposition, affidavits of evidence in support of applications, compliance letters etc.
Dharmendra Sir used to provide me with various important topics (not limited to
Trade Mark Act) to do research work.
Work Environment
GD Bansal and associates office is located at a very posh location in Jaipur. Students from other cities can easily find a P.G. at nearby places. The best thing is that the associates Dharmendra and Prathmesh Sir are always available here to solve your queries.
GD Bansal Sir would always take out time of his extremely busy schedule and be there to help you out and listen to your doubts. In case of any difficulty, you could directly approach him or any associates, who are always happy to provide you with the necessary guidance and help.
The associates at the office are really nice and amazing attorneys. They treat the interns with utmost care and concern. It was really amazing experience.
Good things
The best thing about G.D. Bansal and the associate’s internship was the corporate environment of the firm. The students would be given the freedom to work at their convenience. The main policy of the firm allows the interns to focus on learning rather than pressurizing them to work day and night.
They believe in providing a novel and fresh experience to the interns by focusing on making the interns learn through different pedagogies like we were asked to find out the reasons for the specific denials of the evidence and discuss whole case laws with them.
Bad things
The fundamental idea behind the work given to the interns was that they should learn not only what the law is but also focus on its practical application. This firm would definitely give you a reality check.
Accommodation & Conveyance to Office
There are lot many PGs both for girls and boys near the office at reasonable prices.
Stipend
There is no stipend provided but you will get the Letter of Recommendation after the completion of the internship.
