First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression
On the first day, we were asked to first introduce ourselves then we got our separate workspace.
Main tasks
The main tasks include the reading of files of ongoing cases. Assisting them in research work. Learnt drafting, and attended a court hearing on the last day.
As I had interned in the month of June, when District Courts remain closed, sir has specially asked us to stay for 1 more day, to get the exposure of a real courtroom.
Work environment
The advocate under which I interned was amazingly humble. There was very healthy work pressure, if any.
He actually gave his time to us to keep a check on our progress. He used to give us tasks every morning and take updates every evening of the same.
Good things
Sir treated us in such a good manner that, on the last day, when we were leaving the office after getting our certificates, we felt literally like the way we are leaving was something that has been inculcated in our routine.
Bad things
There are no bad things to mention.
Stipend
No stipend, we received the certificate on the last day.
Anything else?
There is a kitchen adjacent to the office, in which we have permission to get ourselves coffee, etc. The area is surrounded by many good cafes.
