First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression

In the interest of facilitating communication during the virtual internship, a WhatsApp group was created for the interns. Mr Munis Nasir (coordinator) helped me understand the tasks required to be performed during the tenure of my internship.

My first impression of the internship was positive, considering that the communications made were professional and I was interested in the work undertaken by Lawgystix.

Ms Thakur and Mr Munis were approachable and always willing to give their guidance in case we came across any difficulties related to the task or otherwise.

Main Tasks

Lawgystix is involved in several projects for the benefit of the legal fraternity and law aspirants. During my internship, I contributed as a content creator for the upcoming digital courses.

My first task was to work on Legal current affairs (Indian and International). I was asked to compile a list of the highlights from selected months. Thereafter, I also collected the latest case laws (Supreme Court and High Courts) and a brief description( facts, issues, principle, judgment) of the same.

Additionally, I compiled a list of various Amendments in statutes for the selected month. These tasks were helpful for my own knowledge as a law student as well.

I worked on the note sheet drafting for the Central Acts. In this task, I was required to make a table consisting of sections, section summaries, and the case laws for the assigned central acts. Later, I was made a task head for this project.

My fellow task head and I coordinated with other interns for the note sheet drafting and making Case summaries for the selected case laws.  I briefly worked on the task ahead for the Language Book project, wherein I coordinated with the interns for legal drafts (Notices, complaints, applications, RTI, and charge framing).

During the internship, I also worked on writing articles on Inter-religious marriages in India, Indemnity and Covid vaccines in India, etc. Advocate Apoorva Ma’am also allowed me to explore my creativity as she assigned me certain tasks related to poster-making for upcoming events.

Good things

The tasks assigned during the internship have helped me expand my knowledge as a law student. In addition to this, I was thoroughly impressed with the mentorship given by Advocate Apoorva Ma’am. I appreciated the kind help given by Ma’am during my Moot Court competition.

The coordinator and co-interns were always polite and helpful. Further, the deadlines were always manageable. My positive experience compels me to recommend this internship to interested law students.

Accommodation & Conveyance to Office

This was a work-from-home internship.

Stipend

Based on my performance, I received Rs. 2000.
