College and Year of Study
Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia; 2nd year.
Name and Address of the Organization
Sahicollege Mentoring Pvt. Ltd., Mahendra Lok Apartment, 3rd Floor, Flat No. 304, Kankarbagh, Patna, Bihar – 800020.
Duration of Internship
February 10, 2022, to March 2, 2022; 1 month.
How did you Apply?
I got to know about this internship from my classmate, then I enquired about the same from the organization where I got the opportunity to apply for this internship.
First Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
On first day, there was only interaction & introduction of all interns where we got to know each other and interns from different backgrounds, colleges, cities, etc. As it was an online internship so there is no talk of infrastructure.
At first sight, I thought that how could I manage all tasks given by them and at the same time balancing academics but eventually everything goes well and I completed my all tasks very well.
Main Tasks
- To market/promote all services provided by the organization for the welfare of students.
- They taught us about MS PowerPoint, Canva, Excel, how to build LinkedIn profile & resume and important advice regarding our career. Whatever they taught, we have to create a sample after that session so that we can implement everything whatever we are learning. All these exercises helped a lot in building my different skillsets.
- To become a face of the organization in my college and answer/resolve every question/issue arising among the students regarding the same.
Work Environment
The environment of work was very beautiful because the staff/members of the organization were not pressurizing us to complete a task before the deadline. Even they were always ready to help or teach us in finishing the task well. Interns can also ask questions to team leaders assigned by the organization to
them.
Good things
- Good work environment (neither harsh nor versatile).
- Nice support from members or team leaders of the organization.
- Learning new skills.
- Discussion about intern’s future goals in career and guiding them.
- Big rewards and ranks for quality work done by interns.
Bad things
- You may face small difficulties while doing this internship if you are not good at time management.
- You may have to skip classes if it is colliding with the session of the organization.
- Competition among interns.
Stipend
No stipend, but ranks & rewards (like mobile phones, other gadgets, free subscriptions of Hotstar/Zomato, free 1:1 career counselling by elite mentors, etc.) to top interns at the end of the internship. In my case, I got Rank 1 in my whole team and letter of recommendation.
