GNLU Centre for Law and Technology is organising an Online Short-Term (1 Credit) Certificate Course on “Artificial Intelligence and Law: Legal and Practical Implications”

About GNLU

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is the statutory university established by the Govt. of Gujarat under the   Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003. The University is recognized by the  Bar Council of India (BCI)  and the University Grants Commission (UGC) (2f & 12B).

About the Centre

GNLU established the Centre for Law and Technology which strives to keep its stakeholders abreast with the developments in either of the fields and ensure providing a platform for the creation of the academic blend of science and law by raising awareness, holding capacity building programs not limiting to conferences, quizzes, and talks, at the University, ultimately enhancing the acumen and quality of research at regional, national and international levels.

This will, in turn, help build responsible future legal professionals acquainted with the convergence of the science enabling them to contribute not only to the legal systems of India but to the world, at large and in general to the society, effectively as per the need of the hour.

About the Course

The course will cover the following topics

  1. Key concepts related to AI, NLP, LLM, ML, and IoT.
  2. Functioning of AI systems and their applications in the legal domain and Introduction to legal tech products.
  3. Utilization of various AI tools for academic and legal research.
  4. Ethical implications and limitations of AI technologies.
  5. Global Round up of Laws governing AI and its usage.

Instructions

  1. The Course will be held in Online Mode through CISCO-WebEx.
  2. The link/details of the course will be shared only with the registered participants on their registered email.
  3. The last date of registration is 10 August 2023.
  4. The interested shall register themselves at the link provided in the pamphlet/webpage and submit the applicable registration fee.
  5. The e-Certificate shall be printed based on the details provided in the form available at the link in the pamphlet/webpage. No change at any later stage shall be entertained.
  6. The registered participants shall ensure that while attending the online Course, the registered email id and full name (as filled in the form) are being used, else the e-certificate shall not be issued.
  7. The registered participants can undertake the course in two modes: (i) With evaluation – MCQ Test and (ii) Without evaluation. The participants opting for the first mode will get certificates reflecting the secured marks.
  8. The e-Certificate shall be issued only to those participants, who are attending the full Course. However, in order to take care of the technical difficulties, if any, faced by registered participants, the e-Certificate shall be issued to those attending a minimum of 85% of each session of the Course.
