School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy Studies, National Forensic Sciences University in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) is organizing the 2nd International Conference on Forensic Justice on September 16 & 17, 2023.
About NFSU
The National Forensic Sciences University (erstwhile Gujarat Forensic Sciences University) is the world’s first and only University dedicated to Forensic and allied Sciences.
It was established with the objective to facilitate and promote studies and research and to achieve excellence in the field of forensic science in conjunction with applied behavioral science studies.
Considering the role, importance, and contribution of erstwhile GFSU, the GOI elevated GFSU as NFSU under the Ministry of Home Affairs and also accorded a special status of “An Institution of National Importance”.
About ICSSR
The ICSSR was established in the year of 1969 by the Government of India to promote research in social sciences in the country. ICSSR provide grants for projects, fellowships, international collaboration, capacity building, survey, publications, etc. to promote research in social sciences in India.

The 2nd International Conference on Forensic Justice is a significant event that brings together experts, practitioners, researchers, and policymakers from various fields related to criminal justice and forensic science. Objectives
The primary objective of the Conference on Forensic Justice is to explore and promote the crucial role of forensic science in criminal investigations, legal proceedings, and the overall administration of justice. It aims to bridge the gap between scientific advancements and their application in the criminal justice system, ensuring that forensic evidence is used accurately, effectively, and ethically.
Mode
A hybrid mode of presentation can be possible, with prior assent from the organising committee.

2nd International Conference on Forensic Justice invites well-researched original papers amongst professionals, academicians, practitioners, research scholars, administrators, students, social activists, and the representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations for presentation on the following themes and sub-themes:
- Crime Scene Investigation and Forensic Evidence
- Appreciation of Forensic Evidence
- Digital Forensic Tools and Techniques
- Behavioral Forensic and Judiciary
Eligibility Criteria
Participation is open for experts in the field of Criminology, Law, Judiciary, Litigation, Public Prosecutor, Correctional Home Officers, Forensic Scientists, Senior Scientific Officers, FSL Officers, Innovators, Industrial Partners, Startups, Academicians, Research Scholars, and Students.
Submission Guidelines
The abstract should not exceed 350 words and must indicate the theme of the proposed research with relevant keywords. It must be accompanied by a cover page which should include:
- Sub-theme of the paper.
- Title of the paper.
- Name of the author(s).
- E-mail address.
- Postal address and contact number.
- Co-authorship is allowed. (Maximum two authors.)
