First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
- The office was well maintained and there were no such strict formalities, but the seniors were punctual of time & work.
- There were senior advocates along with associates. Most of the time I spent there was with associate advocates.
- They were very friendly & got to learn so much from them
Main Tasks
- Usually, I used to accompany seniors to the court for proceedings. Apart from that, I used to be part of the team for drafting and filing documents and other papers. Sometimes I was also assigned to find the citations & case laws.
- Since I am a student, I was not burdened by any heavy work.
- The seniors used to take me with them to every stage & help me understand what was going on in court.
Work Environment
Healthy environment for learning & exploring the letigation field. In morning I used to go to office & then join the seniors towards the court. By afternoon I used to come back to office for lunch and then rest of the time in office only. In office I used to read various legal journals and books.
Good things
Everything I found there was impressive. Seniors were so kind & humble towards all the juniors. Even the associate advocates were very supportive and kind. I learnt various ethics and morals of the field from them. All the work was handled systematically by each one of them.
Bad things
I spent around one month in the office, but I didn’t find any such negative thing. Everyone in the office used to busy with their work. In the free time, I saw that they were very friendly with each other. Hence, I can confidently say that there is nothing bad to say.
Accommodation & Conveyance to Office
Office is to be open at 9:30am Then at 10 am I used to join seniors heading towards court by their vehicles only. I used to come back office at 2pm and have lunch.
Then till 5:30 I used to read the journals, articles, magazines or sometimes I was asked to analyse & research on some topics.
Stipend
There was no stipend given.
