TN Congress moves Madras High Court saying media broadcast of PM Modi meditating at Kanyakumari violates MCC

The Petition filed by lawyer and TNCC member AP Suryaprakasam and six other lawyers, who are also TNCC office bearers, has sought directions to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to prevent PM Modi from “misusing his official position.”

The plea that is yet to be numbered by the High Court Registry, also claims that Modi’s three-day long meditation that began on May 30 and is being televised and broadcast widely, will work to the disadvantage of the opposition parties and such broadcast is in breach of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
