Appearing for the petitioner, advocate SN Jha told the Court today that representations had already been sent to the government on the matter.
“The rights of pedestrians are being trampled. The (Sunder Burj) roundabout and flyover is there in between which is only convenient for cars. There was footpath earlier but now there is a wall. I only need back the earlier footpath below the Oberoi flyover,” he argued.
The High Court, however, refused to budge and said the issue is not for the court to resolve.
The Bench eventually allowed the petitioner to withdraw the PIL, with liberty to approach concerned government authorities.
