Gujarat High Court tells lawyers, litigants to pay up outstanding court fees for cases filed during COVID

These cases, filed between March 22, 2020, and January 7, 2022, were flagged either for non-payment or insufficient payment of court fees.

A circular dated May 30, issued on orders by Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal, warns that the pending court fees would be recovered as arrears of land revenue if they are not settled within thirty days.

The same circular also calls on lawyers and litigants to submit original documents or certified copies of documents if the case has been decided, if the same was required to be filed and has not yet been filed.
