Supreme Court launches 2nd edition of Hackathon, seeks AI-based solutions to improve Registry work

The first edition of the hackathon, which marked a ‘brainstorming of ideas’, concluded on January 7 last year. Advocates on Record Devashish Bharuka and Aakarshan Aditya were declared as winner and runner-up respectively.

Participation in Hackathon 2024 is open to Indian organizations (firms, companies, academic institutions), startups, and individuals with expertise in Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Entries must be submitted online via the entry forms available on the Supreme Court website and MyGov portal.

A screening and evaluation committee will shortlist 15 candidates, who would then have to present their proof of concept (PoC) in New Delhi to the Selection-cum-Screening Committee. Each shortlisted participant will be given 30 minutes for their presentation, interaction, and Q&A session.

The committee’s evaluations will be submitted to a Judge In-Charge who, in consultation with the Chief Justice of India, will select the winner and runner-up.

The Supreme Court will rank each team based on predefined criteria, with the final scores determining the winners.

The winner and runner-up will receive trophies and souvenirs, while all shortlisted candidates will get participation certificates.
