I am working on the Anaplan platform on which the application is hosted which deals with product price & availability forecasting for various durations, details of the same can be downloaded as forecast and actuals which include various product hierarchies across various durations.
Problem:
Comparing forecast and Actuals files with matching product types having the same duration and once these criteria are matched retrieving and comparing all parameters of the matched product and storing & publishing same.
Solution:
Creation of collection of functions for data Cleanup, applying filtering Criteria, retrieving filtering criteria and storing it in the data frame, and publishing in excel in a shared location. Saving the .ipynb file as a .py file and compiling it as an .exe file to be executed across various Platforms.
Production issues in forecasting for the given product was the problem affecting our Organization’s Business, and the toots and techniques which helped to solve them was JupyterBook & Pycharm.
Applying EDA concepts on Data Actual & Data Forecast helps to resolve as well.
The impact and recommendations generated at the organization were:
Increased awareness towards data science tools and technique, advantages it provides along with Usage of visual graphics making understanding much better & including it to be part of the technology stack.
It helped me to apply my learning into practice and also allowed me to explore the real world.
Experience with tools and techniques used in data science and gain some confidence in my learning.
Structured recording and well-targeted mentored sessions with nack for details assist in faster learning and ease of understanding at Great Learning. Quizzes make conceptual understanding better. Also, the guest lectures helped me gain industrial knowledge.
