Petition copies in a case before Bombay High Court destroyed by termites: Registry tells High Court

During the hearing of a case relating to Tata Motors, the High Court was informed by its registry that copies of at least 35 of the 52 petitions in the matter were destroyed by white ants.

Justice RV Ghuge, therefore, directed the advocate for the petitioners to supply the registry with the destroyed petitions.

“Since the registry has informed that the petition paper-book in many cases have been destroyed by white ants, the learned advocate for the petitioners is requested to supply one set of the petition paper-book in the following partitions, as expeditiously as possible,” the order said.
