1st NFSU MUN by National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar [April 22-23]: Register by April 20

School of Law, Forensic Justice & Policy Studies is organising and hosting the 1st NFSU MUN on the April 22 & 23, 2022 under which a UNGA session and Lok Sabha session would take place.

About the University

The National Forensic Sciences University NFSU, Gandhinagar, with the status of an Institution of National Importance is the world’s first and only University dedicated to forensic, behavioural, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and allied sciences. It was established by the Parliament with the objective of training and creating forensic experts for the country and the world.

School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy studies, is established with the aim of imparting professional education with a special focus of forensic application in all allied areas of law and policy framework. The school aspires to be the leading provider of forensic justice understanding to all professionals from different areas of governance including justice administration.

About the event

School of Law, Forensic Justice & Policy Studies is organising and hosting the 1st NFSU MUN on the April 22 & 23, 2022.

Under the NFSUMUN, participants will be able to participate under two committees-
Session 1 : April 23, 2022 – UNGA [Agenda: Russia-Ukraine Conflict]
Session 2 : April 24, 2022 – Lok Sabha [Agenda: Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill, 2022]

The agenda of the UNGA and LS committees are the Russia-Ukraine Conflict and Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill, 2022 respectively. Members can participate in anyone or both the committees.

Eligibility Criteria

Any student pursuing postgraduate/undergraduate courses at any college/university is eligible to participate in the event.

Location

The event will take place in Lower Auditorium at the NFSU Gandhinagar, Near Police Bhavan, Sector 9, Gandhinagar, Gujarat – 382007. Participants are requested to make their own accommodation and travel
arrangements.

Registration

  • Interested students can click on the link provided at the end of this post to register online, which will also help in allotment of portfolio to the registered members.
  • The facility of On-the-spot registration will also be made available on 23rd and 24th April at the Auditorium Lobby at NFSU.
  • The registration fee is as follows:
    • UNGA
      • INR 800 (for non-NFSU students)
      • INR 350 (for NFSU students)
    • Lok Sabha
      • INR 800 (for non-NFSU students)
      • INR 350 (for NFSU students)
    • Both events
      • INR 1600 (for non-NFSU students)
      • INR 700 (for NFSU students)

Prizes & Awards

Certificates will be facilitated to all the participants and cash prizes to the best performing candidates

Deadline

The online registrations for NFSUMUN end on April 20, 2022. However, the interested students can also register on the spot on April 23 and 24, 2022.
