Difficulty Level of Delhi Judicial Services Exam 2022

Delhi Judiciary is known for its factual based questions and lengthy nature. Just like previous years, the paper was quite extensive.

Questions from Constitution were direct and Article-centric. Questions from subjects like the Indian Penal Code, Arbitration, and the Code of Criminal Procedure challenged the mind of the candidates and required them to apply the law to the given problem.

We are aware that from 2022 onwards, the syllabus of general knowledge comprises only of legal affairs. Questions from the G.K portion were easy and general.

If we speak of the laws introduced this year in the Delhi Judicial Services Exam, such as POCSO, Commercial Courts Act, and Limited Liability Partnership Act, the number of questions was less compared to other laws such as Arbitration, Constitution, and Indian Penal Code.

Also, questions from newly introduced subjects were not problem-based but rather Section-centric. That is why candidates with a fair understanding of these laws must have found these questions easy to attempt.

The Indian Constitution was the most scoring subject of this year’s Delhi Judicial Services Exam. All questions except for three landmark judgment questions were Article-centric.

Questions from subjects such as the IPC, Cr. P.C, and Specific Relief were problem-based and time-consuming. In IPC, out of 25 questions, only one was section centric. The rest were lengthy problem-based questions. This is why it is advisable to put hard work into understanding the topic and not the memorization of sections, specifically for Delhi Judicial Services.
