Grilled Spicy Chicken Sandwich
Sandwiches are my all time favorite because they are so versatile, you can make it how ever you want it. Specially I love grilled sandwiches, those char grilled lines over those makes it so appetizing.. Recently I bought an awesome grill pan, which I am in so love with. I am using it very often. I will soon post a review for that soon in my blog.
About this Recipe
A chicken sandwich is a sandwich that typically consists of boneless, skinless chicken breast or thigh served between slices of bread, on a bun, or on a roll. Variations on the chicken sandwich include the chicken burger, chicken on a bun, chickwich, hot chicken, or chicken salad sandwich.
These are the first ever sandwich which I made in that grill pan. They had a spicy chicken filling in it, which has crunchy bits of capsicum in between which makes it more tasty. I served it with manchow soup and baked chicken nuggets which will be posted very soon in my blog. So keep checking it. I hope you will give this a try and tell me how it turned out for you.
What is Sandwich ?
A sandwich is a food that typically consists of vegetables, sliced cheese, or meat placed on or between slices of bread, or more broadly any dish in which bread serves as a container or wrapper for another type of food. The sandwich originated in the Western world as a portable, convenient finger food, but it has since spread globally.
Where did the chicken sandwich originated?
The first chicken sandwich is thought to have been invented in 1946 by an Atlanta restaurant owner named Truett Cathy as an alternative to the popular hamburger. He named Chick-fil-A after a boneless grilled chicken fillet he placed in a bun.
Is a grilled chicken sandwich healthy?
A grilled chicken sandwich is high in protein, carbs, vitamins, and minerals. Grilling uses less oil than deep-frying, so there are fewer calories and fat in the finished product.
Ingredients for Grilled Spicy Chicken Sandwiches
White Bread :
White bread is typically made from wheat flour that has had the bran and germ layers removed (and set aside) from the whole wheat berry as part of the flour grinding or milling process, resulting in a light- coloured flour.
Onion:
Onions are considered a basic ingredient or the foundation of Indian cooking and are used to make any gravy, curry, or bhuna dish. The flavour and aroma of onion transforms any ordinary dish into a mouthwatering and delectable one.
Capsicum :
Because of their higher sugar content, red capsicums are the sweetest and highest in vitamin C and beta carotene. Orange and yellow capsicums contain nearly as much sugar as red capsicums, whereas green capsicums have a low sugar content due to early picking, which gives them a slightly bitter taste.
