The what, why, and how of the learning were clear at every stage! – Narsimulu Kolachana

I am Narsimulu Kolachana of Cohort 10, Stanford GSB Design Thinking – From Insights to Viability. I am currently developing my own L & D brand in Hyderabad, India. I have 20+ years of experience in large organizations educating individuals and teams to become capable and productive professionals, thus supporting executive leaders in achieving their strategic objectives.

I was actively exploring tools and strategies that would enable me to create better learning solutions and assist my clients in building design thinking teams and capabilities. I was inspired to enroll in the course at Stanford GSB because of its reputation as a leader in management education.

The program is very well designed, allowing even busy participants to plan their study hours around weekly learning goals and assignments. The what, why, and how of learning was clear to us at every stage. The live sessions with the professor, weekly meetings with the course facilitator, getting to know other classmates during social hours, brainstorming with friends, asking questions on NovoEd forums, receiving weekly summaries of our progress, and prompt reminders to keep us on track, the methodology, all kept us engaged. With videos, articles, case studies, study links, and a variety of tools and strategies, the course content is excellent. The mentorship by the course facilitator, who gave prompt and thorough comments on areas for growth and provided several insights, examples, and instances to point our understanding in the appropriate directions, was the course’s standout feature.

I can say without a doubt that the course has improved my abilities and will enable me to give my clients better solutions. I also plan to implement design thinking to come up with some viable ideas of my own.
