Ingredients for Sweet Rava Appam

  • Sooji / Rava / Semolina – ½ cup
  • Water – ½ cup
  • Jaggery – ½ cup
  • All Purpose Flour / Maida – ¼ cup
  • Wheat Flour / Atta – ¼ cup
  • Coconut – ¼ cup grated
  • Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
  • Baking Soda / Cooking Soda – ¼ tsp
  • Oil or Ghee for Deep frying

How to make Sweet Rava Appam

  1. Take sooji in a bowl, add in ½ cup of water and soak it for 5 mins.
  2. Now add in jaggery and mix well till it is all melted. Now add in all the ingredients except oil and mix well to a thick batter.
  3. Heat oil for deep frying, drop spoonful of batter in oil and fry till golden brown. 
  4. Drain onto some paper towel. 
  5. Serve.
