Call for Student Members by the Centre for Development of Intellectual Property and Research [2024 – 2025]: Apply by August 14!

The Centre for Development of Intellectual Property and Research (CDIPR) announced the inaugural student membership program for the session 2024-2025. This is an exclusive opportunity for law students who are passionate about Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) to join a dynamic and innovative community dedicated to advancing the field of IP.

About CDIPR

The Centre for Development of Intellectual Property and Research (CDIPR) is a premier institution established under the Indian Centre for Child and Human Rights (ICCHR) as India’s First Non-Governmental Research Organisation dedicated to Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).

Operating under the Naovina Development of Intellectual Property and Research Foundation as a registered Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), CDIPR is dedicated to promoting and protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) within India, thereby fostering a conducive environment for innovation and creativity.

In today’s rapidly evolving global landscape, intellectual property (IP) has emerged as a critical asset that drives economic growth, technological advancement and cultural development. Recognizing the immense value and potential of IP, the CDIPR was established.

With a mission to promote and protect Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) in India, CDIPR is dedicated to fostering innovation and safeguarding creativity across various sectors. The primary objective of CDIPR is to promote and protect Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) within India, thereby fostering a conducive environment for innovation and creativity.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the CDIPR student membership, applicants must:

  1. Be a law student pursuing a 5-year B.A. LL.B./B.Com. LL.B./B.B.A. LL.B./B.Sc. LL.B. or a 3-year LL.B. program under any Bar Council of India (BCI)-approved University or College.
  2. Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in understanding Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).
  3. Demonstrate a keen interest in IPRs and a commitment to advancing the field.

Roles and Responsibilities of Members

As a member of CDIPR, you will have the following roles and responsibilities:

  1. Active Participation: Engage actively in CDIPR’s events, workshops and training sessions.
  2. Research Contributions: Contribute to CDIPR’s research initiatives by participating in research projects and publishing articles in our newsletters and journals.
  3. Advocacy and Outreach: Support CDIPR’s advocacy efforts by participating in outreach campaigns, public awareness programs and policy discussions.
  4. Networking: Build connections with fellow members, IP professionals, and industry experts to enhance your knowledge and career prospects.
  5. Compliance: Adhere to CDIPR’s code of conduct and membership guidelines to maintain a professional and respectful environment.

Membership Duration

Membership is offered annually, and this call is for the session 2024-2025.
