About the Book

The startup has become an integral part of our country, especially after the launch of the Startup India campaign enabled by various government policies and schemes. There are various factors that matter in running a startup in a successful manner.

One of the important factors is the Legal Aspects Involved in the Startup which are essential parts, before starting a startup and later on also. Many startups failed or faced difficulties due to various legal complexities, and compliances. Timely legal support/assistance for startups can yield better results.

To discuss and deliberate upon the various legal aspects related to startups, we have initiated this project of Edited Book on Handbook of Legal Aspects of Startups in India. The main objective of the present publication is to assist budding and existing entrepreneurs to navigate their startup journey in an efficient and effective way enabled by sound legal and procedural aspects related to startup.

  • Drafting related to Startups.
  • Other important aspects related to Startups.

Note: The above list is just illustrative and not exhaustive. Researchers are welcomed for papers on any topic which is related to the core theme.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submitted proposals will be reviewed and feedback will be provided for selected proposals. Authors of selected proposals are then will be required to submit the Full Chapter.
  • The Full Chapters will be peer-reviewed by reviewers and selected Chapters will be published in the book Handbook of Legal Aspects of Startups in India.
  • The proposal should be 2-3 pages (excluding the cover page and author details).
  • The suggestive structure of the proposal would be:
    • a) Rationale of the Study,
    • b) Research Gap,
    • c) Tentative Research Methodology,
    • d) Possible Future Results and Outcomes,
    • e) Contributions in Policymaking/Theory building.

Publication Details

The edited book will be published by Thomson and Reuters. There would be no publication charges.

  • Abstract Submission – July 15, 2023.
  • Notification of Acceptance of Abstract – July 30, 2023.
  • Full Chapter Submission – October 15, 2023.
  • Communication of Review – October 30, 2023.
  • Submission of Revised Chapter – November 10, 2023.
  • Communication of Final Acceptance – November 20, 2023.
