Nyaayshastra Law Review Journal is a making a call for papers to publish in its Volume 2 Issue 2 of the journal.

About the Journal

Nyaayshastra Law Review Journal, ISSN: 2582-8479 is an online bi-annual, Peer-Reviewed, Open Access journal with a summer and winter edition. The Journal is indexed in prominent databases such as HeinOnline, Google Scholar and ROAD: The Directory of Open Access scholarly Resources by ISSN making the articles accessible to a larger community and making the research open to everybody.

Theme

Any topic or issue relating to law or any related field can be sent for publication to NLR as they aim to promote interdisciplinary research in the field of law and related disciplines.

Publication Perks

  • The journal follows a Speedy Evaluation Process since the evaluation procedure takes up to 48 hours (1- 2 days). After payment of the processing fee, the final publishing is completed within 24 to 48 hours (1-2 Working days).
  • NLR provide a Free DOI (Digital Object Identification) to all our authors which are used for identifying an article or document and connecting to it on the internet on a permanent basis.
  • An E-Publication Certificate is provided at no additional cost to all writers published in each issue as soon as the publication becomes online. 
  • After their manuscript has been published, authors have the option to purchase a Hard copy of their Publication Certificate and their Manuscript Booklet for a nominal charge.
  • The authors with the best research papers are provided with internship opportunities and the opportunity to work as a Reviewer & Campus Ambassador for NLR.

Who Can Submit?

All Academicians, Research Scholars, Lawyers, anyone in the legal profession, Students, as well as anyone who has an interest in socio-legal subjects can submit original manuscripts of Articles, Legal Essays, Research papers, Case and Legislative Comments relating to recent development in Law and Legal Studies.

How to Submit?

  • NLR accept submissions through the google form link provided at the end of this post. here.
  • In case of any difficulty in filling the submission form, the authors can submit their manuscript via email at nlrjournal[at]gmail.com

Types of Submissions

The NLR Journal invites original, unpublished manuscripts in the following categories:

  1. Essays/Short Articles (1,000-3,000 words, Excluding footnotes)
  2. Research Papers/Long Articles (3,000-8,000 words, Excluding footnotes)
  3. Case Notes and Legislative Comments (1,200-2,500 words)

* The journal is flexible with the word limit subject to the quality of the manuscript.

Submissions Guidelines

The journal guidelines for publication must be strictly followed, the guidelines can be accessed here.

Processing Charges (to be paid after acceptance) 

  1. Single Authored Manuscript:  INR 700/- 
  2. Co-authored manuscripts: INR 1000/- for (Max. 3, including the author).​
  3. Foreign Authors (Outside India):  $ 25/-

*The manuscript processing fee is Non-Refundable

*This charge does not include a Hard Copy of the Certificate or Paper Booklet. The Hard Copies can be ordered by sending an email to nlrjournal[at[gmail.com and the authors will be charged separately.

General Instructions

  • Long articles and short articles must be accompanied by an abstract.
  • Up to three authors are allowed for all categories.
  • All citations shall be placed in footnotes
  • All works must be original and unpublished, and must not be pending for review before any other journal. 
  • Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
  • The first page of the manuscript should contain the title of the paper, the name of the authors, and their institutional affiliation followed by an abstract.
  • The main body of the manuscript should commence from the second page and should follow Times New Roman style, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and footnotes in Times New Roman Style, Size 10, with 1.0 line spacing. 
  • All headings must have uniform formatting.
  • All footnotes/ references should conform to a Uniform Referencing style i.e. Bluebook 20th Edition or ILI Rules of Footnoting.
  • The manuscript should be submitted in Word format (.doc or .docx) as an attachment. PDF/Hard copy or other formats will not be accepted.
