How did you Apply?
I checked the firm under LinkedIn, found the mail, and mailed my CV and cover letter to office[at]edgelawpartners.com. I got a reply within a day.
First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
The first day went very well. On the very first day, we were told to research a moot proposition and draft applications for and against the motion. After that, another work was assigned, that of trademark infringement.
The firm is very well located, and it is just 10 mins from the nearest metro station. Also, there is no shortage of places to eat.
Main Tasks
The main tasks to which I was assigned were research on a variety of issues such as divorce, schemes of the govt, etc, and drafting of various documents such as counter-affidavit, etc. Also, we were assigned visits to various offices such as the RERA office, Mediation Centre, etc.
Work Environment
The work environment was really good as the work is assigned as per the availability. If a person wants to do work, then they should ask for it, and not wait for someone to give them work.
Good things
Good thing was that the work environment was well, the location of the firm is closest to the metro station, lots of places to eat if someone wants to eat, etc.
Bad things
No such thing as a bad thing.
Accommodation & Conveyance to Office
Travelled through the metro; metro connectivity to the firm is very good. Also, I learned a lot about litigation, research, and drafting as this was my very first internship.
Stipend
No stipend was provided.
Anything Else
To chill out, we used to eat sandwiches and drink chai at Aadat Chai Cafe near the firm.
