How did you apply for the internship?

With my interest to intern at the office, I emailed my CV and cover letter to the lexardent@gmail.com. The application is not only selected on the basis of a CV but also the eagerness to learn and grow. It is suggested that to apply for a long-term internship for the firm to properly equip you with the requisite skillset.

First-day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

The timings for the internship were from 11:00 am to 05:00 pm. On the first day, I reached the office at 10 am. The office is big and comfortable enough to work conveniently. There was a quick introduction to the members of the staff and other co-interns.

He’s very particular about his work and so there was no delay in giving us tasks. The tasks given were research and drafting and responsibility and learning opportunities.

Main tasks

The tasks mainly focused on drafting and researching the interest area of the applicant and additionally on some other subjects such as disputes related to properties and estates. The submission of tasks is to be done on the same day it is done and no excuses are preferred until they are of genuine cause.

The major tasks were:

  1. Drafted plaints, written Statements, PIL, and other legal documents related to Criminal (murder, dowry, theft, joint liability, etc.) and Civil (disputes before RERA, inheritance disputes, etc.).
  2. Gone through murder, dowry, theft, joint liability, and unlawful assembly cases.
  3. Learned how to navigate and read case files and judgments.

Work environment

The work environment is very friendly. After working hours, there are informal discussions among staff and interns about career opportunities and guidance toward the area of interest. The interns are always included in various celebrations of the staff members to appreciate their efforts.

Good things

There are a lot of good and positive things, among them a major one is constant guidance on many petty issues that are faced during the tenure. The staff aims to make interns learn and grow in addition to preparing them for practical aspects.

Bad things

There are no bad things nor any grievances which are of significant cause.

The office is located at a convenient location that can be reached by public transport services.

Anything else?

The staff was very understanding and guided us on every aspect of the tasks. The interns are also constantly guided for their future and are considered a part of the team.
