About the Role

FLSmidth, Chennai, is hiring for the post of Contract Administrator, IOD Support. You shall be reporting to the Manager, Head of Projects, and Mining Industry, as Contract Administrator, and IOD Support. You will work directly with the IOD / IOD Support teams to analyze contracts with an eye toward reducing costs and increasing profits, and managing risk while ensuring compliance with the law.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contract terms with internal and external business partners.
  • Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with laws; regulations and commercial conditions.
  • Review and update existing contracts.
  • Explain terms and conditions to managers and interested parties, participating in client meetings to support.
  • Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts.
  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms and mitigation.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department as needed.
  • Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met (e.g. payments and shipping).

Eligibility

  • 10+ years prior experience in a contract administration role or a related field.

  • Has previous experience in customer service and strong communication skills.

The Staff Counsel I will be responsible for handling a wide range of commercial agreements, real estate, and commercial litigation. The successful candidate will work on all phases of deals, ranging from the proposal/bid review stages, right through to final negotiation and post-signature issues.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Services Agreements (Outsourcing & BPO Agreements), Data Protection Agreements, NDAs, Amendments, etc. in close interaction with the various internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiating the contracts with their attorneys and taking them to closure independently.
